Um 1920 kam er nach London, zun\u00e4chst als Mitglied der London Radio Dance Band. Schon bald gr\u00fcndete er sein eigenes Orchester, das <strong>Selecta Plectrum Mandoline Orchestra<\/strong>, das er sp\u00e4ter in <strong>Troise and his Mandoliers<\/strong> umbenannte.<\/p>\n<p>Als dann das Banjo immer popul\u00e4rer wurde (weil Banjos eben lauter sind&#8230;) wurden die Mandolinen durch Banjos ersetzt und das Orchester hiess nun <strong>Troise and his Banjoliers<\/strong>. Das Orchester wurde von den 1930er Jahren bis 1957 von Troise geleitet und bestand dann noch bis zu den fr\u00fchen 1970er Jahren unter der Leitung von Jack Mandel.<\/p>\n<p>Das Orchester wirkte h\u00e4ufig bei einer Sendung mit dem Titel\u00a0&#8222;Music while you work&#8220; mit. Ausf\u00fchrliche Informationen findet man auf der Seite <a href=\"http:\/\/www.turnipnet.com\/mom\/troise.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">history of Troise and his Mandoliers<\/a> auf der Website <a href=\"http:\/\/www.turnipnet.com\/mom\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Masters of Melody<\/a>. Dort kann man auch zwei komplette Sendungen von 1956 und 1964 anh\u00f6ren.
