Ich habe gerade einen Nachruf auf Will D. Moyer im B. M. G. Magazin von 1939 gefunden. Ich freue mich immer wenn ich biografische Informationen zu Komponisten und Verfassern von Mandolinenschulen finde. Das ist eine Best\u00e4tigung der Biografischen Daten f\u00fcr diesen Musiker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is with regret that we record the death of the Ameriean fretted instrument teacher, composer and arranger Will D. Moyer. He was taken ill in the street on May 26th and died a t his home in Camp Hill, Pa., the following night. He was 67 years of age.
Will D. Moyer WaS born in Perry County, Pa., and after his family moved to Kansas he attended the Kansas College of Emporia and the Western Conservatory of Music.
In later life he was director of the Gettysburg College and Mercersburg and Harrisburg Academies B. M. & G. Clubs, and he organised and directed the Harrisburg Plectral Orchestra which made its public debut during Pennsylvania Music Week several years ago.
Will D. Moyer had composed or arranged Over a thousand tunes for leading American publishers whilst he had several methods, chord books and folios for solo and ensemble playing published. The fretted instrument world has lost a staunch supporter for its music and the sympathies of all players of the banjo, mandolin and guitar all over the world will be extended to the wife and three Children he has left.

Moyer hat mehrere Schulen f\u00fcr Zupfinstrumente ver\u00f6ffentlicht, ich habe vier Schulen bei archive.org gefunden, eine Schule f\u00fcr Mandoline, eine f\u00fcr Ukulele und zwei Schulen f\u00fcr Banjo. Ich werde diese Schulen in K\u00fcrze auch bei IMSLP einstellen. Dort findet man bisher zwei St\u00fccke f\u00fcr Gitarre. Moyer hat auch mehrere St\u00fccke im Duo-Style f\u00fcr Mandoline komponiert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
