{"id":3802,"date":"2010-12-02T15:01:02","date_gmt":"2010-12-02T14:01:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gezupftes.de\/?p=3802"},"modified":"2012-04-03T19:43:32","modified_gmt":"2012-04-03T18:43:32","slug":"wu-man-und-die-chinesische-pipa-one-woman-pipa-jam-session-silkwood-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gezupftes.de\/?p=3802","title":{"rendered":"Wu Man und die chinesische Pipa &#8211; &#8222;One-Woman Pipa Jam Session&#8220; &#8211; Silk Road Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Vor ein paar Tagen habe ich einen Zeitungsartikel der New York Times \u00fcber die chinesische Pipa Spielerin Wu Man entdeckt. Wu Man hat gerade eine neu CD mit dem Titel <strong>Immeasurable Light<\/strong> ver\u00f6ffentlicht. Sie wurde in Peking ausgebildet und hat dort als erste einen Master Hochschulabschluss mit der Pipa gemacht. 1989 gewann sie den Wettbewerb National Music Performance Competition.<\/p>\n<p>1990 kam sie in die USA und hat seither die Pipa im dortigen Musikleben bekannt gemacht. Dabei hat sie sich nicht auf die traditionelle chinesische Musik beschr\u00e4nkt sondern auch andere Musik auf der Pipa gespielt. Sie hat unter anderem auch mit dem Krosos Quartett zusammengearbeitet und mit dem Cellisten Yo-Yo Ma im Silk Road Projekt.<\/p>\n<p>Nach vielen Jahren in den USA ist sie durch China gereist um dort die originale chinesische Musik zu erkunden und hat im Anschluss ein Festival mit chinesischer Musik in der Carnegie Hall veranstaltet. Sie ist auch Mitglied im ORION Ensemble von Philip Glass das verschiedene Instrumente aus der ganzen Welt wie Sitar und Pipa einsetzt.<\/p>\n<p>In den folgenden beiden Videos kann man Wu Man mit einem Solost\u00fcck f\u00fcr die Pipa sehen und in einem Interview, in dem sie einige Spieltechniken der Pipa demonstriert.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"watch-headline-title\">Wu Man<\/h2>\n<blockquote><p>A clip from Boston Guitarfest 2008.
