Leider ist dieses Angebot nicht mehr verf\u00fcgbar. Die Melodie wird hier von dem Instrument <strong>Brac <\/strong>gespielt, eine Art Mandoline oder Mandola in Gitarrenform. Alle diese Instrumente ausser der <strong>bisernica <\/strong>haben Gitarrenform. Im Atlas of Plucked Instruments findet man \u00fcber die Instrumente aus Kroatien folgende Beschreibung.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>bisernica<\/strong> On the Balkan (in Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia) so called <strong>tamburitza<\/strong> orchestre are very popular. Even emigrants in USA (or Austria) from that area still play this type of music. Basically the tamburitza is an all stringed band. The different instruments are from the smallest to the biggest : <em>bisernica, brac, bugarija, celo<\/em> and <em>berde<\/em>. Bodyshape can be roundish (mainly only for the smallest instruments) or guitar-like for the bigger ones. Shapes and decoration can be quite different between different makers. The orchestras can be small (one of each instrument), or with several of each (in different sizes).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.atlasofpluckedinstruments.com\/europe2.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/www.atlasofpluckedinstruments.com\/europe2.htm<\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Pittsburg Mandolin Society<\/h4>\n<p>Die <strong>Pittsburg Mandolin Society<\/strong> war 2009 das gr\u00f6\u00dfte Mandolinenorchester der USA mit etwa 40 Mitgliedern. Auf der Homepage findet man auch einige Informationen \u00fcber die Geschichte der Mandoline in den USA. Unter anderem stammte auch der bekannte amerikanische Mandolinist <strong>Valentine Abt<\/strong> aus Pittsburgh.
