Diese Melodie hatte ich schon fr\u00fcher geh\u00f6rt, hatte mich aber noch nie so richtig damit besch\u00e4ftigt. Nun habe ich aber vor, Ashokan Farwell unserem Geiger Johannes als neues St\u00fcck vorzuschlagen und habe mich mal durch youtube gew\u00fchlt.<\/p>\n<p>Wenn man <strong>Ashokan Farewell<\/strong> h\u00f6rt, dann wird man zun\u00e4chst denken, dass es sich sicher um ein traditonelles irisches St\u00fcck handelt. Das ist aber nicht der Fall.<\/p>\n<h2>Jay Ungar und Molly Mason<\/h2>\n<p>Ashokan Farewell wurde 1982 von <strong>Jay Ungar<\/strong> komponiert. Jay Ungar und seine Frau, die Gitarristin Molly Mason, sind seit den sp\u00e4ten 70er Jahren als Musiker und Oragnisatoren von Fiddle &amp; Dance Camps bekannt. Ashokan Farewell wurde als Musik f\u00fcr eine Fernsehserie \u00fcber den amerikanischen B\u00fcrgerkrieg verwendet und wurde so in den USA sehr bekannt.
