Der eigentliche Boden kann frei schwingen, ein zweiter Boden verhindert die Ber\u00fchrung des Resonanzbodens mit dem K\u00f6rper. Joe Brent wollte, dass er das Instrument im Stehen spielen kann, und dass es so laut ist, dass er es im Ensemble ohne Verst\u00e4rkung spielen kann, und doch geh\u00f6rt wird.
